The Green-crowned Brilliant is a hummingbird species found in southern Central America and northwestern South America, where its disjunct range covers several mountain ranges. It is locally common and readily seen in forest and adjacent human-altered habitats from the foothills to the highlands, where it frequently visits artificial feeders.
