Jungfraujoch Railway — Top of Europe — the Jungfrau Railway leads from Kleine Scheidegg up to the summit at Jungfraujoch. At Kleine Scheidegg you'll change to the highest rack railway in Europe, the Jungfraubahn. You have 6 miles to go; 4 miles of that will be spent in a tunnel carved into the mountain. You'll stop briefly twice, at Eigerwand and Eismeer, where you can view the sea of ice through windows cut into in the rock face of the mountain from the tunnel (the Eigerwand is at 9,282 foot and Eismeer is at 10,201 feet. Notorious among mountain climbers, the Eigernordwand (" Eiger north wall") is incredibly steep, icy, and one of the most difficult mountain ascents in the world.
