There are over 400 bronze statues of little gnomes placed all over Wroclaw. They were put in place to commemorate anti-communist protests in the 1980s that used gnomes to depict the absurdity of the failing communist rulers. These new bronze gnomes have become a major tourist attraction. Here the gnomes are playing in an orchestra outside the front door of the Wroclaw Music Center.
